BEFORE USING FLONASE NASAL SPRAY:
INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and
over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Inform your
doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies,
pregnancy, or breast-feeding.
DIRECTIONS FOR FLONASE NASAL SPRAY: Follow the
directions for using this medicine (flonase) provided by your doctor.
This medicine (flonase nasal spray) may come with an instruction leaflet. Ask your
doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have
about this medicine. SHAKE GENTLY before using a dose. FOR
BEST RESULTS: continue using this medicine for the full
course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not miss any
doses. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, away from
heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, flonase,
use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next
dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular
dosing schedule for Flonase.
CAUTIONS FOR FLONASE: DO NOT
EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE OR USE THIS MEDICINE FLONASE FOR LONGER
THAN PRESCRIBED without checking with your doctor. Your
symptoms should improve within a few days, however it may
take up to 3 weeks for this medicine to reach its full
effect. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE for future nasal problems
without checking with your doctor. AVOID GETTING THIS
MEDICINE IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD CHICKENPOX OR
MEASLES, avoid contact with anyone who has any of these
diseases. THIS MEDICINE NASAL SPRAY MAY AFFECT GROWTH RATE in children.
Your child's growth should be checked regularly while using
this medicine. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT,
discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using
this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS
MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE
BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with
your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS :
SIDE
EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include
sneezing, stuffy nose, or an unpleasant taste or smell. If
they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor.
CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience
nosebleeds or nose or throat pain. IF YOU EXPERIENCE
difficulty breathing; tightness of chest; swelling of
eyelids, face, or lips, or if you develop a rash or hives,
tell your doctor immediately. Do not take any more doses of
this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so. If you
notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor,
nurse, or pharmacist.
DRUG INTERACTIONS : Drug
interactions can result in unwanted side effects or prevent
a medicine from doing its job.
IF YOU TAKE TOO MUCH FLONASE NASAL SPRAY:
If overdose
is suspected, contact your local poison control center or
emergency room immediately.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
If your
symptoms have not improved with regular use of this nasal spray
medicine, contact your doctor. ALWAYS HAVE A SPARE INHALER
available in case the unit malfunctions or is empty. DO NOT
SHARE THIS MEDICINE with others for whom it was not
prescribed. DO NOT USE THIS NASAL SPRAY MEDICINE for other health
conditions. KEEP THIS MEDICINE out of the reach of children.
IF USING THIS MEDICINE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME,
obtain refills before your supply runs out of Flonase nasal spray,/b>.
